History

1973 – January 26th – The ‘Ibero Linhas Transportes, Lda’ Company was set up in Porto, in the Short Sea Commercial Shipping business activity.
1980 – Ibero Linhas moved its Head Office to Lisbon.
1983 – The Company widened its service to include Deep Sea Shipping to the USA (Pacific Coast).
1988 – Ibero Linhas extended its Deep Sea Shipping service to cover the Far-East.
1990 – Ibero Linhas broadened its Sea Shipping services to cover the USA (Atlantic Coast), Canada, The Middle East, Australia, Turkey and Iceland. The Company expanded its Logistic Operations.
1995 – The Company’s Shipping Services now covered the South African and South American markets.
2001 – With the opening of the Zenith Line Carrier, the Company’s Shipping Services to Angola started up.
2003 – Northern Europe was now closer to the Port of Figueira da Foz, via the new Short Sea Shipping service provided by the Holland Maas Shipping carrier.
2007 – Opening of a new Sea Shipping service to the Canary Islands.
2008 – Start of fortnightly Sea Shipping service from the Port of Setúbal to Northern Europe.
2010 – Consolidation of weekly services from the ports of Lisbon, Setúbal, Figueira da Foz and Leixões, covering all of Northern Europe and Scandanavia.
